Billing Data Refresh Schedule and Cloud Cost Data Freshness

This page explains Costory’s billing data refresh schedule and cloud cost data freshness: when billing updates arrive, how to trigger a manual refresh, and what to expect from AWS CUR and GCP billing exports.

Monthly billing data refresh window

  • Costory refreshes month n-1 until the 10th of month n.
  • After the 10th, Costory freezes month n-1 so month-close numbers stay stable.
  • Providers often post late adjustments in the first few days of the new month.
If you need finalized month-close numbers, plan to review the prior month after the 10th.

Force a billing data refresh in Costory

1

Open the data health dashboard

In Costory, go to SettingsData health.
2

Choose a datasource

Select the billing source you want to refresh.
3

Run a refresh

Select Force ingestion to run the latest incremental job, or Full refresh to reprocess the full period.
Full refreshes take longer and can temporarily increase processing load.

AWS and GCP billing data freshness

Costory refreshes billing data every morning. Because providers deliver exports with a delay, you typically see full data for d-2 and partial data for d-1, where d is today. For example, if today is the 10th, you should expect complete data through the 8th.
ProviderProvider export timingWhat you see in Costory
GCPAround T+12 hours on average.Full data for d-2, partial data for d-1.
AWS12 to 24 hours, with exports generated every 6 hours by default.Full data for d-2, partial data for d-1 (depends on the last export run).
